Welcome to the ideal sun drenched oceanfront home with wrap around decks and phenomenal vistas of the ocean.

The Lily Pad is the ideal beach vacation spot for families, friends or charming getaways. It is charming, yet kid and pet friendly, has enormous get together areas and tons of balcony space for reading, reflection or just day dreaming to the sound of the ocean.

With three sizable bedrooms and a master suite complete with separate shower and hottub tub, huge enough for two, everybody has the ideal space from the grandmother who needs peaceful, to the kids who need play areas, to the couple who needs time together.

Like to prepare? The kitchen is well supplied with all the silverware for a family spaghetti dinner or an extravagant steak dinner. Worried your beverages will take up most of the refrigerator? Not to worry, the Lily Pad has you covered with an additional full size refrigerator and freezer in the laundry room. Not interested in cooking? Eat out at any of the extraordinary eateries in the area or have your meal delivered and “eat out” in the comfort of this beach home.

After dinner, watch tv or relax on the Adirondack chairs and take in the impressive view from the decks overlooking the ocean while sipping your drink of choice. Kids in bed, retire to your master suite with a huge deck that also overlooks the ocean. Fall asleep to the sound of the waves waking up refreshed for a day on the beach - mere steps away.

Are your furry friends coming with you? They too can appreciate the beach from the deck while you savor swimming or digging your toes in the sand. Each deck has a gate that lets you choose where your pet enjoys the view. The top deck is amazing for calming in the sun; the bottom deck is great for those family pets who prefer a cool, shaded area or latch the top gate open and let your pet decide.

Do you need to get some work done while you are at the beach? This is the place to do it with a dedicated workstation, with power outlets, conveniently located in the living room where you can work and gaze at the handsome beach view.

When it’s time to come in from a day on the beach you can choose from the opulent hottub tub, indoor shower or the freshly installed enclosed outdoor shower with changing area. Strategies to get the perfect Nags Head vacation home experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your rental in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Nags Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • In the Nags Head area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many property management companies supply Nags Head area travel guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Nags Head visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Choose your vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Oceanfront with 4 bedrooms! Striking interiors with ocean and sound views. has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Nags Head rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking pages. If not, email or call the property manager before booking the rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • If there's a certain Nags Head destination you simply love, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the host immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
