Finding the best Nags Head rental experience:

Get the best rental value:

  • In the Nags Head area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Summer is high season in the Nags Head area. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Nags Head visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain money saving offers on nearby tours and attractions.

How to choose the best rental home in Nags Head:

  • Start by choosing your vacation dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. ? \"The location + accommodations are simply perfect.” has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before you reserve your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • If there's a specific Nags Head attraction you crave, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your .
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • At Check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
