Private beach access, amazing ocean vistas, basic old-style beach home! For those who appreciate the more laid-back, peaceful, lazy vacation days on the oceanfront in Nags Head, "Almost Home" is ideal! The private sizable sundeck is great for sunbathing, whale watching, morning coffee, afternoon lunches, or evening beverages! Bring your family dog for long walks on the beach! Plan for the ideal calming vacation!

Conveniently located just a short drive to shopping, eateries, and 2 great fishing piers that also offer magnificent eateries and nightlife. This home is located in the less commercialized area of South Nags Head. It is the ideal summer vacation spot for beach and sun lovers. Also ideal for Fall and Winter visitors who appreciate fishing, long brisk walks on the beach, and chilly days in front of the gas fireplace!

Ocean vistas can be adored on both levels!
Level 2: The lower level has a den with a queen-sleep couch and flat-screen TV, a bedroom with a queen, and 2 bedrooms with twins as well a full hallway bathroom. This level leads out to the huge sundeck where you will also find the outside shower!

Level 3: Here you will find alluring ocean vistas from the great room with another flat screen TV, gas fireplace, kitchen and dining areas, and the queen master bedroom with TV!

Level 1: The laundry room is located on the ground level.

However, due to the nature of our area, we cannot guarantee internet will always be functioning, as the Outer Banks can experience outages from time to time. We strongly advise that guests bring their own personal hot spot or other cell service devices to provide internet access, especially if the internet is needed for work or school. About the Area

Located on the beach, this vacation home is in South Nags Head, a neighborhood in Nags Head. While the natural beauty of Outer Banks Beaches and Cape Hatteras National Seashore can be enjoyed by anyone, those looking for an activity can check out Jennette's Pier.
Mutiny Bay Adventure Golf and Full Throttle Speedway are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Getting the best value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the best vacation home within budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Nags Head restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Nags Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.

  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Upon check-out, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to drive new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective.
