Peppers is a comfortable bungalow for 2 people that is located on the ocean side. Only about a 150 feet to the beach.

This bungalow may look rustic on the outside but it is just right for a charming hideaway!
Pepper's has a queen bed and one full bathroom. There is an outside shower also.
The kitchen is entirely equipped so dinner is a snap! We have refreshed the kitchen and added a dishwasher. We even have an air fryer and a crock pot.

The living area includes cozy furnishings, SMART TV with DVD player and complimentary WI-Fi Internet access.

The deck is cavernous. Also included is a deck furnishings, a charcoal grille, and clothes line.

Did you know? When Peppers was first constructed, Dr. Forbes rented it to a Catholic Cardinal.
He liked it so much that before he left, he blessed the bungalow.
It has been our most trendy couples bungalow ever since!

Tips and Tricks to get the best rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To get the best value, try shifting your family's Nags Head vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many property management companies supply Nags Head area visitors guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Nags Head area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Selecting the best rental in Nags Head:

  • Choose your vacation week and budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Ocean side/romance/pet friendly/dishwasher/Nags Head has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available online. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you book the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Add the property manager's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Upon check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to inspire more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
