About this Property

  • Sleeps 6
  • 3 Bedrooms
  • 2 Bathrooms
  • Cottage

Don’t let the outside of this bungalow fool you.
Staged in a ideal location, just 2 blocks from the beach, with the beach access being seen from the driveway. It's great for a family of 6 or less, this bungalow is in one of the most desired beach neighborhoods of Nags Head, and is priced for those who want the feel of classic quality hidden behind the grey exterior walls of a typical ‘beach box’. Peak through the windows, and you’ll see a professionally designed interior with all the amenities you want for your calming beach vacation.

Furnishings and artwork are well appointed, along with a well-equipped kitchen for those who appreciate cooking, and plenty of interior space for all members of the family, even on a rainy day at the beach! Appreciate central HVAC, cable, internet, breakfast bar, white cabinetry in the kitchen, and constructed-ins in the dining area. The details in this bungalow are well thought out and supplied.

You'll find 3 bedrooms, 2Q beds and 2 twins in third bedroom, 1 1/2 baths,*BRING your own linens, an open space family room/kitchen/dining area, and huge covered social area below the bungalow for outdoor gatherings. Supplied in this space is an enclosed outdoor shower that most people find much more enchanting than indoors after a sunny day on the beach.

The location is ideal with the beach access just up the street, grocery store, specialty coffee stores, and other eating options within a short walk or bicycle ride, 2 adult bicycles included, as well as the bicycle/running path along the 35 mph beach road.

Other highlights are the excellent screened porch with wooden rockers, picnic table on the back deck, and enormous wooden swing. As well, feel complimentary to use the washer and dryer in the laundry room!
Unfortunately we no longer rent to "young adults" including college students. We rent Sunday to Sunday in the summer months. We have a 3 nighttime minimum for holiday weekends.
We are less expensive than other cottages due to no cleaning costs. We trust all to cleanup after themselves. The typical, vacuum, clean refrigerator out, put away clean dishes, clean bathrooms and tidy up. Our departure crew checks behind and does deep cleaning. $100 will be withheld from the deposit when the basics are not finished.
For those who want the look of a sizable expensive beach home, yet the smaller price, this is the bungalow for you. We have raised our three boys making memories in this bungalow and hope you will do the same with your family. Please e-mail me with any questions and I’ll get back to you quickly! Penny

Getting the best Nags Head vacation rental experience:

When to go & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in Nags Head. Reserve your Nags Head vacation home in the Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Nags Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Nags Head visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Selecting the best vacation rental:

  • Select your vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Amazing Little Cottage for many Reasons has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is best for your vacation family.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.

Know before you go:

  • Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many concerns.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • During arrival, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
