New to Oceanside for 2025!
Peaceful Retreat Directly on the Ocean
Welcome to Barefoot, your oceanfront escape in the heart of South Nags Head. This beautiful 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom beach home offers everything you need for a classic Outer Banks vacation—impressive ocean vistas, comfortable coastal comfort, and direct beach access just steps from your door. With a prime location on the oceanfront and the laid-back vibes of South Nags Head, Barefoot is the ideal hideaway for families, couples, or friends looking to relax and reconnect by the sea.
Step inside the Main Level and feel instantly at home in the inviting oceanfront living area, where enormous windows bring in natural light and sweeping vistas of the Atlantic. The well-equipped Kitchen offers gorgeous ocean vistas while you prepare, and the adjacent Dining Area makes every meal feel like a special occasion. This level also includes two Queen Bedrooms—one with semi-private access to a full hallway bathroom—as well as a convenient stackable washer and dryer. A wrap-around Deck offers the ideal spot to sip your morning coffee or appreciate an evening beverage with a view.
Upstairs, you'll find two additional Queen Bedrooms and a additional room with two Twin Beds—ideal for giving the kids their own space. A Full Hallway Bathroom is shared among the upstairs bedrooms, and everybody will appreciate stepping out onto the furnished sun deck to catch the sunrise or stargaze at nighttime. The layout is ideal for families and groups, offering both privacy and shared spaces to gather and create lasting memories.
Whether you're appreciating a beach day right outside your door, calming on the deck with a book, or exploring the local attractions of South Nags Head, Barefoot offers a calming and beautiful setting for your Outer Banks adventure. Leave your shoes at the door, feel the sand between your toes, and get ready to make memorable beach memories at Barefoot.
*Please note: Access to Barefoot requires crossing through a sandy dune, which may be challenging for guests with mobility concerns or when unloading bags and groceries. The deeded parking easement is located less than 150 feet from the home, next to 217 E Altoona St. S. A private sand path is typically available on the southwest side of the property for easier access, but due to shifting sands, guests may occasionally need to walk over the dune to reach the home.

Tips to get the best vacation home experience:
Finding the best rental value:
- The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- To get the best value, consider changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Nags Head visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain deals for nearby shops and restaurants.
Choosing and booking the perfect Nags Head rental:
- Choose vacation week and spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. 7133 Barefoot * SUPER Oceanfront * Amazing Views has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Nags Head rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property management company before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is right for your vacation group.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs could be applied to your agreement.
- Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
Additional considerations:
- Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Upon arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a great stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
