What better way to start the day than by watching the sunrise from Ocean's Edge oceanfront decks or top floor oceanfront living area. After appreciating your coffee, perhaps a walk over the dune walk to the beach to search for seashells or sea glass, or just savor the sound of the waves.

If you feel the need to stay connected watch the morning news on the flat-screen TV in the living room or rec room.If you need to log on to your laptop to let everybody know what a great time you are having at Ocean's Edge, we offer complimentary WiFi.

You are just a short ride away from many activities, Jennette's Pier our newest pier, Jockey's Ridge State Park, Wright Brothers Memorial, historic downtown Manteo, or the North Carolina Aquarium in Manteo. Savor some of our favorite eateries, Sam & Omies for breakfast or lunch, Owens for dinner, Basnights Lone Cedar Cafe, Tale of the Whale or Sugar Creek Seafood Restaurant all on the Causeway to Manteo, Lucky 12 for lunch and dinner. After dinner, you can head to Dairy Queen or Fatboyz for some delicious ice cream.

After you have adored the day, have dinner in the oceanfront dining room and watch the ocean colors change as the sun sets in the west. Gather up the family for a game of pool in our first floor Recreation Room, or watch a movie on the flat-screen TV.

Ocean's Edge is a 7 bedroom, centrally located at MP 16 oceanfront home, ideal for modest family get-togethers or special gatherings.

Family Animals allowed - dogs only. No smoking/vaping. Please refer to the Rental Agreement while reviewing Rules & Policies for pool opening/closing dates.

About the Area

Located in Nags Head, this vacation home is by the ocean. While the natural beauty of Outer Banks Beaches and Cape Hatteras National Seashore can be enjoyed by anyone, those looking for an activity can check out Jennette's Pier.
Mutiny Bay Adventure Golf and Full Throttle Speedway are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain coupons for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful time? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
