Tips to get the optimal rental home experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Nags Head rental home:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Reserve your Nags Head vacation in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Nags Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies supply Nags Head area travel guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Nags Head area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Oceanfront, Pool, Hot Tub, 6 Bedrooms, 5 & 1\/2 Baths, Handicap Chair Lift, MP10 has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property management company before you reserve your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.

Advice for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure damages are not linked to your family's visit, record any problem areas during arrival. message the rental manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to drive more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
