Fair Winds is located at a prime junction between South Nags Head and the Manteo causeway. Visitors can head west to Roanoke Island, north to the central Outer Banks, or south to Hatteras Island. World-class marinas are close by as well as the Cape Hatteras National Seashore providing opportunities for viewing wildlife and tranquility. Other pleasures include the Outlet Shopping Mall and the Fresh Market just down the road. Entertainment? Miniature golf, bicycle units for cruising the bicycle path, and water sports are just mins. away as well. Did I mention the long list of superb dining venues? Just steps across the beach road and you are picking your spot on the sandy shoreline. Jennette's Pier is roughly a 5-min. walk down the street.

You may be bringing your own “catch” to prepare for dinner in the handsomely outfitted kitchen on the top level with dining space for 10. A picnic table provides seating for meals on the deck and screened-in porch as well. Cozy furnishings surround the LCD TV with access to a continuous deck facing the ocean. Included in an alcove off the main room is a computer monitor for work, study, or research.

This bungalow offers sunrise vistas of the Atlantic and sunset vistas of the Pamlico sound from multiple decks or a furnished screened porch. Private Pools are open from May 3, 2024 until October 13, 2024 and May 2, 2025 until October 12, 2025. Property has solar pool heat which is available from April 29, 2022 until May 20, 2022 and again from September 9, 2022 until October 14, 2022. Solar pool heat only heats while the sun is out and only by a few degrees. Hot tubs are available year-round. Fireplace seen in photos is non-functioning and not available for use.

All Outer Banks Blue properties provide bed linens and bath towels for a modest fee added to every reservation. We provide 1 bath towel and washcloth per advertised occupant. We provide 1 hand towel and 1 bar of soap per bathroom sink. We also provide kitchen towels. Beds are made prior to your arrival, and we provide a starter supply of toilet paper, bathroom soap, paper towels, and dishwasher detergent.
