This home was new to Vacation Rental By Owner for 2022 season. You can see more reviews under my other property, ID #2186137. We have spent the last few years doing a number of upgrades in and outside our home. You will find very little carpet, as there is luxury vinyl plank throughout. The whole interior has been newly painted. The wifi experience works well and every TV in the home is Intelligent, which will allow our guests to use their own apps for streaming. Bring your passwords!

Finding the best Nags Head vacation property experience:

Getting the most from your budget:

  • The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • To book the best rental within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Nags Head restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Nags Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies supply Nags Head area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Nags Head visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to pick the best vacation home:

  • Start by having your family choose dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Destination-OBX Soundfront, 8 bdrm, 10 bth, elavator, pool, hot tub, game room has 8 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Nags Head rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always available online. Otherwise, email the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what is best for your vacation.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.

Tips to have a wonderful stay:

  • Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
