Getting the best vacation rental experience:

Getting the most from your spending budget:

  • To get the most suitable rental within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • In the Nags Head area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have coupons for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select a group lead, choose your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. A Chance For Total Relaxation, Beautiful Sunsets, Beach, Pool, & Golf Access! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the host before booking your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is optimal for your vacation.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Advice for a terrific stay:

  • Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the host right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
