FAQs:
COFFEE: To answer the most fashionable question we receive, yes there is both a Keurig and Nespresso machine (Nespresso takes the short half circle shaped cups). There is also an old school coffee pot in the cabinet just in case.

BEACH: The island is very narrow so you can walk to the beach, but I recommend driving due to crossing a highway, in heat, carrying coolers towels and chairs. There are multiple beach access parking tons up and down the beach road if a lot is full. The beach access and parking is complimentary. There are no stands on the beaches to rent umbrellas or chairs. There are NHOR lifeguards up and down the beach during our rental season.

BEACH CHAIRS: Please pack your own or plan to purchase upon arrival as the 4 we left may not be there after previous renters or you may need more to accommodate your guests.
_____

Any stains or damage to the bespoke blinds will result in a $100 damage fee charged per blind up to 14 days after your departure date, excluding your protection plan. Please watch any kids closely near blind pulls for safety.

Please note we have outdoor cameras on the property for security purposes.

Although we don't allow family pets, there are times when service pets are allowed in the home, therefore please take that into account before deciding to book if you or a guest has extreme pet allergies.

We have left 4 beach chairs for your enjoyment, but there is no guarantee they will be returned by previous guests for your use. Chairs can be found for purchase at most food stores and local stores.

Standard units are weekly, from Saturday to Saturday. This home is appreciated with short term units, therefore there is a 30 day max limit to your booking.

Tips and Tricks to get the best Nags Head vacation home experience:

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Nags Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, management companies supply Nags Head area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to select the best rental home in the Nags Head area:

  • Start by choosing your a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. where memories are made has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the host before booking the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your agreement.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental

During your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of concerns.
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
  • During arrival, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
