This home also features wireless internet, and a game room with a pool table, TV, and wet bar area. As an added convenience, hotel hair dryers are also located in all of the bathrooms!

Outside features: 2 charcoal grills (one park style and one portable), perfect for cooking up lunch or dinner for the entire family all at once; and a horseshoe pit for a little friendly competition!

Located at milepost 14 in Nags Head, this home is in a great location close to family-friendly attractions, appetizing and unique beach cuisine, and excellent shopping. Outlets Nags Head are only a couple miles down the road as well as traditional beach shops, surf shops, boutiques, and resort wear shops.

Jockey’s Ridge State Park is also only a couple miles down the road, a must-do/must-see while on your family vacation. Head out on the dunes, take up kite flying, or even book a hang gliding lesson with Kitty Hawk Kites! Other fun things such as go-karts, bumper boats, and mini-golf are all located within a few miles of this vacation home!

In 2024, the community pool was open from May 25th to September 2nd. Opening and closing dates for 2025 will be provided when made available by the HOA.

Sheets and towels are provided for full-week rentals.

This home includes credit for $245 in beach gear rentals from our partners at VayK Life. Stay between April 4th and October 19th, 2025 (7-night minimum), and use your beach gear credit for items such as bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, paddleboards, and more!

Mid Level: King bedroom and queen bedroom with a shared Jack and Jill bath, bedroom with 2 twin beds, bedroom with pyramid bunk bed and a trundle that share a Jack and Jill full bath, washer/dryer. Hot tub on mid level rear deck.

Top Level: Queen bedroom with a full bath attached that is shared with the living area, kitchen, and dining area. Surround sound on mid and top levels, inside and out.

Most know The Cotton Gin as a must-stop shop for fine gifts, beachwear, souvenirs and so much more, but this retailer has a long-standing history within the Outer Banks. A local landmark that holds almost a century of memories, The Cotton Gin started from humble beginnings and continues to adapt to the times and tourists. Tommy Wright’s family has been in the Outer Banks for nearly 200 years. His great-great grandfather, Jacob Francis Wright, shipwrecked in Duck back in the early 1800s. Calling these barrier islands his new home, Wright and his family acclimated to their new environment.

 

Adaptation is a common theme for the Wright family. Tommy and his wife Candace, who continue to steer The Cotton Gin, have seen not only their business change with the times, but the Outer Banks as a vacation destination as well. A farm market in Jarvisburg eventually transformed and flourished into several retail locations dotting the Outer Banks.

 

“As the area changed and tourism took off in the 1960s, the family saw people coming for vacations, so they began to grow vegetables and things developed from there,” says Tommy Wright. The Wright family expanded upon the farm market and began to remodel a working cotton gin, later transforming the gin into The Cotton Gin general store in the late 1960s. While the additions to the farm store drew visitors, it was their encounters with the Wright family that kept people coming back year after year, which is something that remains true today.
