Bright Vacation Days are Waiting at Tin Can
When you book Tin Can for your next vacation, you'll start soaking in that OBX lifestyle as soon as you pull up in the driveway. An escape to this bright and open beach bungalow means elegant ocean vistas, ultimate relaxation, and tons of fun for the whole family. Located just 490 feet from the Abalone Street beach access, your family will be able to sink their toes in the sand after a short walk across the Beach Road.

On the ground level, you'll find a 2-car garage with plenty of space to store your body boards, fishing poles, and other beach gear. The laundry room is also on this level and there's a convenient half-bath accessible from the garage. Outside, an outdoor shower is available for rinsing off all the beach sand before coming inside.

On the middle level, your family will rest comfortably in one of three bedrooms. As you walk in the main entry, a King Master Suite with an attached full bathroom is located to the right, facing the ocean side. Across the hall, a Cozy Queen Bedroom with a private covered deck and another bedroom featuring a fun Pyramid Bunk – the ideal place to put the kids – share a full bathroom that is accessible from the hall. Outside, a covered front porch faces the Beach Road and includes a Picnic Table for alfresco dining or an outdoor game of cards.

On the top level, you will be left in awe by the fun, beachy décor and fabulous ocean vistas. Catch your current series on the Flat Screen TV in the open-style living area on pop in your favorite DVD for a family movie nighttime. For those days you want to prepare instead of going out, the enormous refreshed kitchen comes entirely-outfitted with all the appliances and supplies you will need to whip up a masterpiece. There is seating for 5 around the kitchen's island-style bar and room for 6 more at the dining room table that faces the ocean. One of your favorite activities at Tin Can will be sitting out on the covered deck every morning and sipping your coffee while watching the sunrise.

Savor A Fabulous Locale
Location is everything and Tin Can sits in the ideal location (around Milepost 10.5)! Not only is Nags Head home to some of the best attractions and tastiest eateries in the Outer Banks but Tin Can is literally within walking distance to numerous of these places. Take a short walk north on the Beach Road to shop at Seagreen Gallery – a local shop featuring an inventory of reused, recycled and repurposed materials that have been transformed into art, décor and jewelry. After browsing the gallery, head back down the road and stop by Red Drum Tap House for dinner where you'll savor the freshest surf, turf and brews! For dessert, pop over to Surfin' Spoon to sample a few flavors from an Outer Banks premium frozen yogurt bar. Strategies for getting the perfect Nags Head vacation rental experience:

Finding the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in the Nags Head area. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Nags Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Some owners offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Nags Head area visitors guides which often include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Nags Head visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing the best rental in Nags Head:

  • First, have your group agree to a vacation week and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. 6016 Tin Can * 4 Min Walk to Beach has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property manager before you book the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Does your family require special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
