Tips and Tricks to get the best rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is high season in the Nags Head area. Book your vacation home in Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Nags Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, management companies supply Nags Head area visitor guides which often include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Nags Head visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to pick the best rental in Nags Head:

  • Select dates and max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. 506 - Nags Head Cove Rental w\/ Gorgeous Sunset Views Over the Water has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before you reserve your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or might be applied to your invoice.
  • Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental

Additional considerations:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. text the host immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
