Let’s talk about Fall! - For several reasons fall is a unique time to visit the Outer Banks. Since days (and water) are still warm but evening hours are cooler, it's like experiencing two seasons in one trip. Ocean treasures such as shells and sea glass are abundant which makes them more readily found. The ocean shifts daily. It's behavior and color change with the wind direction and you can see the many personalities of the Atlantic ocean while here. The excitement of the fishermen lining the piers and surf is palpable. The drum are running and a way of life, a tradition, returns to the Outer Banks.
