Description

Smooth Sailing is an elegant oceanfront vacation home with a spacious layout. There are five master suites with private bathrooms plus two bedrooms with two queens in each. The upper level is bright and open with a large kitchen with seating for five, a great room with TV, dining area seats ten, a sun room with a table with seating for four and access to the deck overlooking the ocean. The middle level features a sun room and a den. The lower level has a game room with pool table plus an extra full size fridge. Outside is a private pool and hot tub and large furnished decks. There is something for the entire family at Smooth Sailing, including your four legged family members!

The perfect location in the heart of Nags Head means less driving and more relaxing. Close to fine dining, shopping and attractions. Close to Roanoke Island, home to The Lost Colony Outdoor Drama, NC Aquarium and Kill Devil Hills, sight of the First Flight and the Wright Brothers Memorial to teach everyone about the life altering event in US History. Also just minutes from a well known landmark that supposedly got its name since it was a well known horse racing spot. Spectators would climb to the highest dunes to view the races below, we now call - Jockey's Ridge. Visitors climb to the top, fly kites and even hang glide from this unbelievable sand dune formed by Mother Nature.

Everything went good. Everyone really had a wonderful time. From ages 1 to 85. Weather was nice enjoyed beach walking shell hunting and enjoyed some landmarks. The home was beautiful everything went well.

Good house for family vacation

Everything was clean and was ready by 4pm check-in time. The keyless entry was good because it eliminated the stop at the rental office. House is adequately stocked with kitchen utensils we needed. However, the finish on the dining room table is overall sticky. Possibly wrong kind of paint was used, we used a sheet as a tablecloth.

Unfortunately the rental price increase may dictate that we seek another house for next year.

Smooth Sailing vacation stay

Overall, Smooth Sailing is a great vacation rental. The location is great & it has all the amenities, (I.e. pool, hot tub, pet friendly, private beach access, many master bedrooms), that we look for. Our first experience with Beach Realty was great. They are very friendly, professional & quick to respond.
The only reason for 4 out of 5 stars on general condition, is that some items need to be replaced/upgraded/fixed, (I.e. hot tube jets very weak, ground level fridge missing shelves, gas grill has extreme grease build up).
The main kitchen fridge was replaced (new) while we were there.
Overall, a great vacation week for our family - Thanks!!

We were happy with the house. The sand dune hill at the end of the walkway from the house was difficult for the three of us that are almost 80 years old to negotiate. The young people dug it down somewhat and it appears that under the sand there is more walkway and some steps. If you could dig more sand out that would be great

Great Oceanfront House & Location

Very clean, fully stock kitchen with cooking supplies, large master bedrooms. Pool table, outdoor private pool, cornhole boards, and both propane & charcoal grills. Management company responded quickly to a minor issue. Overall a great house with a great location.

Love this house!

We absolutely loved this house!! They layout was fantastic and it had all the amenities you'd want / need for your stay! House was extremely clean and so well put together. Loved being on the ocean and loved having the pool as well. Ocean views spectacular and loved all the outdoor deck seating.
When we had any questions or concerns we inquired with the management company and Ashley was phenomenal at getting back to us so quickly!
We can't say enough about this house and hope to go back again with our friends again!

A perfect place for our gathering

Despite the weather the first few days, the week was everything we had hoped for and more. The house was perfect for our gathering - the design/layout could not have been better. The house was clean when we arrived but the high winds blew so much sand into the pool it was so not inviting that i called the realtor and a Pool person arrived the next morning and cleaned it. The hot tub was a big hit with the young folks and the jacuzzi in my room was a hit with me.
The kitchen was well stocked (other than with food, spices, etc due to Covid) and using the list provided we really had everything we needed.
Very close to anything we needed - groceries, souvenirs, restaurants (highly recommend Awful Arthurs) and convenience stores.
I would definitely go back to this house as well as recommend it to others.
