We had a great week with family. Love the location of the house that is walkable to beach and close to retail stores and restaurants. However, the house could use some TLC. Kitchen drawer missing and mattresses need replaced.

Vacation fun

We have rented off of beach a couple times, as usual this was a great property. Clean with great amenities. The 3rd floor mattress was great seemed new, the other mattress were less desirable but ok. We understand mattresses are a large expense but would love to see better ones in homes. This was easy to assecc easy to keep clean, and was close to everything.

What a time!

The house was very big. We hosted a couple parties and our guests was impressed by nour house. I love how we had so many people come over and yet it still didn't feel like we were on top of each other. The only problem was that some of the rooms cable did not work and also frigerator ice maker was very slow

My family visit to the Cape May house

We had a wonderful time. The pool and the hot tub were all in good condition. This is the third year we stayed in this same house. The new owners have done a lot of work on improving the house. However- one bed broke on the first floor and we had to take it apart and put the mattress and box on the floor. I contacted the Service department by calling the after hours number. Then the next day I contacted both the realty office and the service department through the Hospitality App. No response. I also called the Housekeeping department on Friday to let them know, I had to leave a message. No response from anyone. Now we had some strong men who could take the bed apart and still use the mattress & box. But what if the people were handicapped? They would have gotten no help at all.

Cape May Get-A-Way in the OBX!!

House was just as expected. We stayed in one of its “ sister” houses last year so we knew the floor plan and overall layout before we arrived. House was in e cellent shape and finding a fairly new gas grill was a BIG plus for us.

We love the house, Cape May, and the location. But the outside shower by the pool did not work. And when a man came to look at it, he didn't fix it. Be cause of this, we ended up getting sand in the pool which we tried to avoid doing. The house has everything we like and it suits our family very well. However, it was not as clean as it was the year before. Overall, I do recommend this property to my friends. This year we went to the Wright Brothers Memorial and went on a Ghost tour in Manteo.

OBX FUN

This is a great house in a great location. Home met all our needs and we had a wonderful time. Shopping is close by and you can even walk to some places. Kitchen was well equipped. Game room was great for everyone. Hot tub didn’t work and the grill was in rough shape. Shower outside didn’t work and the ice maker had mold in it. Overall we had a great time.

Location was perfect! House was perfect size for what we needed. The house definitely needs some attention. The chair on the main level porch was broken. A couple of the chairs at the pool were broken. The condition of the grill was unusable. The towel rod in room 7 was hanging off the wall when we got there. The sink in room 7 was coming off of the wall. The toilet on the main floor (upper) would not stop running. There was a cover for one of the ceiling lights missing. A couple of the box springs were ripped underneath. Other than that, the house was great!

Excellent location, short walk to the beach. House is well designed for a large group. Pool and hottub were clean and in great condition. Overall a nice rental, however the house needs a deep cleaning and some general maintenance. Toilet paper holders in more than one bath were off the wall, many of the outdoor seating were broken and unusable. Outdoor table was in poor condition and barely usable. Nice house, just needs some work to make it a 5 star rental.

Nice family vacation home

Home was in good condition,could use new mattresses and some back deck repairs.Thankful for the elevator so my husband could enjoy being with all the family on the top floor. The shower in the accessible bathroom is not wheelchair accessible due to shower doors. Over all it was a great place and we were able to make it work for us.

The location of the house is a mixed bag. It's great for being close to things, but with the drawback that there are more people on the beach and the view from the back is of a shopping center. It's close to many activities, which is why we decided on the Nags' Head location. The house itself was a great size and very well designed for our group of 12. Each couple had their own room with bathroom and all of the kids had their own rooms except for two brothers who shared a twin room. Almost all of the bedrooms had their own bathroom. The only ones that had to share were the two twins. There are also two powder rooms, one on the living room level and one at the bottom, which were convenient. The house was clean except for the hardwoowd floors on the top level, at least, which were very dirty and in need of refinishing. They were well vacuumed, but desperately needed damp mopping. Our feet were filthy from walking barefoot on them. There is a vacuum available, which was handy for 12 people and a dog. If there had been a damp mop available, that would have been great. I had to use paper towels to clean the kitchen floors a few times and would have damp mopped the wood floors if there had been a mop available. A Swiffer would be a great addition. The beds would benefit from a 2" memory foam topper. The living room couches need replacing. The kitchen had two refrigerators and two dishwashers, which was great. There were plenty of glasses, plates, utensils, etc. The pool and hot tub were in good order.

A 50th College Reunion

We chose the Cape May rental for our vacation. Immediately upon our arrival, we could see that the rental is very clean and tidy. The house is beautifully appointed, the living and dining areas are very spacious, and the kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cookware. The bedrooms and bathrooms filled our needs, and the outside spaces are great areas for gathering. The pool and the elevator made our entire experience very comfortable and pleasant. As a group, we agree that this is a perfect rental for a group who may sometimes want to be all together and individuals who sometimes may need quiet time. We had a great vacation/reunion.
In preparing for this get-away, I had reason to call the Beach Realty office. On every occasion, the staff was responsive, informed, and gracious. Each employee should be proud of their customer service response. I couldn't ask for more from a rental organization. While we were there, I noticed some water in the HVAC closet. I called the number provided, spoke with the representative, and a worker was there immediately to fix the problem. Can't ask for more than that.

This house was everything we needed and more. Friends staying in OBX for the first time can't wait to come back. We had a crew for dinner and did not run out of dishes or silverware. Well stocked kitchen. Loved having 2 DW and 2 refrigerators. I have to take 1 star away from the rating for the spotty wifi. Wish list: having heat in the pool. We wanted to use the pool but it was a little cold this year for the first week in May. Also a small sofa or soft chairs in the game room. Thank the owners for us. We made some lasting memories.

Beach Family Week 2020

The house set up was great. Well stocked. We had a couple of issues with linens. Sent them a message. The ice makers in the 3rd level refrigerators had some leaking problems.
Someone came out but could not repair because they were not leaking at the time. The dresser in the king room on the 2nd floor had a broken top drawer. There is an ant problem in the car port area. The location, pool, and house are wonderful. We would definitely rent again.

This house is in a great location. The only drawback is that it's right on the beach bypass and cars can be a bit noisy. The homeowner was a big help if we had an issue and got it resolved quickly. Beach Realty also gave good service. My only suggestion would be to bring your own sheets if you have any allergies. Otherwise, a nice stay for the price.

Family Beach Week 2019

We had a wonderful week at Cape May the house is beautiful Rooms are nicely
decorated and roomy. Kitchen is pretty well stocked with everything you need. This was the first time we rented a home with a elevator and it was great not to have to carry groceries up 3 flights of stairs! The pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained, the grandkids loved the game room especially the air hockey table.the walk to the beach was not far at all and having the showers and bathroom there was great especially with the kids.We would recommend staying here especially if you have a large family, If we decide to all go on vacation together again in the future we would rent this home again.

Family Getaway

The property is located in a great place conveint to many things. The house is in pretty good condition. I had a few problems with some things in the house and the owner was absolutely great! Beach Realty Folks versus Hurricane Matthew

Hurricane Matthew's arrival at the Outer Banks hampered our expected arrival and cut short our vacation/wedding trip. Once we were able to get access to the properties, things went smoothly. We had rented all four houses at this location and things worked out as planned. In spite of the hurricane, the beach wedding in Kitty Hawk was a lovely conclusion to the week and everyone appeared to be quite pleased. We want to especially thank the ladies at Beach Realty for being so cooperative and keeping us advised during the delay - you all were great!!

This was our first time staying at Cape May. It is a beautiful well-equipped home -- one of the nicest places we've ever stayed. I chose it mainly because of all the Master Suites, elevator and distance from the beach. We had a GREAT vacation -- would definitely recommend this beautiful 8 bedroom home for a large group. We will definitely try to stay there again!

Great vacation in a beautiful house

The house was great. Plenty of room for our family of 16. The place was clean and nice as advertised. The kids and adults enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The game room was also a big hit.

Easter getaway

We had a nice visit to the Outer Banks and the house overall was very clean and in a convenient location access all points north and south. The one issue we encountered was the hot tub heat not working. The rental company and owner were very responsive and offered use of the hot tub next door. Overall everything else was good though.

Super "Cape May"

This is our 4th year at this house and we keep coming back because it is always such a pleasure staying here. The house is beautifully furnished and has all the equipment and utensils that we need. We especially find the elevator very useful and like having a bathroom with each bedroom. It is also conveniently located near grocery stores and shops.

A wonderful place to relax

This was our fourth consecutive stay at this property and the one negative was the age of some of the kitchen small and large appliances. Stove really needs to be replaced. Oven did not work very well and the stovetop burners were very slow. Coffee maker also did not work very well. Otherwise we were very satisfied.

The house was great! Had plenty of space. Only thing was the beds weren't very comfortable. One of the rooms on the pool level, the bathroom didn't have a counter by the sink of a cabinet so there wasn't anywhere to put your things.

BEACH WEDDING WEEKEND

The Vacation Rental Experience was great! I absolutely loved the house and everything was just perfect! I will definitely be renting this place again! I had an elderly parent (84) with me due to the wedding and the elevator was just perfect. Highly recommend for wedding families!
